Navy and Lace

{Madewell top and necklace, J.Crew skirt and handbag, Carole Little wedges, Anthropologie bracelets}

This J.Crew skirt could easily be my favorite purchase in years. It is the most versatile item in my closet. It goes with nearly every top I own, from t-shirts to silk blouses. Since I was feeling a little romantic before my weekend stroll around the neighborhood with Mr. C, I decided to pair it with some lace. I love the classic color combo of white and navy and how the lace detail made the outfit a bit more sweet and special.

  3. This is one of my favorite skirts too! I was kinda hoping they would offer more this year- I would kill for it in olive! It really does feel like liquid silk swirling around your knees...

    adorable necklace- it reminds me of those Renaissance Order of the Golden Fleece medals! Want!

    1. Olive color would be nice!I would also love to see it in some prints, as long as it's something classic. Or perhaps some soft spring colors such as lilacs or peony pinks. Since the skirt is so light and flowy I think it would look lovely in some soft dreamy colors.
