Gingham

{JCrew shirt, Anthropologie jeans, Banana Republic coat, Franco Sarto sandals,  Margot handbag, Fossil belt}

Happy Monday! I hope you're all enjoying a long Memorial Day weekend.

For today's look I'm wearing my trusty high-waisted jeans, a comfy gingham shirt and my oldie but goodie trench. Business on the outside, country on the inside, or as Mr. C called it "country business". He said I look like I'm ready to go line dancing after a meeting. Oh, that man! Cracks me up all the time.

  1. I love the look. It's nice to mix things up. I especially like the bits of leather in the bag, belt and sandals.

    1. Those leather pieces are so old and seem to only be getting better with age. I love that about good leather. I'd love to find a simple clutch in that shade of brown that would go with everything. No luck yet.

  2. Men are usually good for a laugh when it comes to commenting on outfits. I love a nice gingham shirt, you can't go wrong with owning a great staple like this. Love the way you paired it with the trench coat. It will be so much fun this summer paired with orange or yellow, you can be the country meets city girl.

    1. Thank you for stopping by, Trina! I totally agree, a gingham shirt is definitely a good basic to own. This particular one has proven to be very versatile. It's also made out of super soft cotton, so not only it is easy to style, but it is very comfortable as well.
